  • June 21st, 2001 Rehearsal Dinner following rehearsal - The dinner will be held at Buco-Di-Beppo, a local Italian Family Style Restaurant. The portions are huge and the food is great. We reserved a large room upstairs to accommodate a large party.  We hope that all of the members of the wedding party and all out-of-town guests, invited to the wedding, will attend.  The dinner will be hosted by Tom's father, Thomas Sr.

  • June 21st, 2001 6:00 PM : Rehearsal At the Ceremony site. Please meet at the motel by 5:45 if you want to caravan over to the Capitol together.

  • June 19, 2001: Things are starting to fall together. I had the final meeting with Reception site. People begin driving up and flying out tomorrow. WOW... we are really doing this. The one thing I keep thinking: It seemed so far away and now it is here. Mom keeps saying there is only so much you can do, then just sit back and enjoy.

  • June 17, 2001:  Long day of all wedding related stuff.  We tried to tackle substantial parts of our to-do lists.  We got the remainder of our wedding party shopping completed.  Managed to find the "perfect" parent gifts.  Spent 8 hours planning music for the reception.  Tamara is starting to get really excited, Tom is starting to look worn out.

  • June 16th, 2001 : Took the morning off.  Just tired of racing around so we decided to take the morning off and just lounge around the house. I think Tom and I both needed this one.

  • June 15th, 2001 : Wedding day schedules emailed to wedding participants.

  • June 15th, 2001 11:00 AM : Exit interview with travel agent for honeymoon- WE HAVE TICKETS!!! Whooo hooo weeeeeeee! Finally the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight. I am not sure who is more excited, Tom or myself. But oh well...  On with the party.

  • 耼!--䁭stheme-->耊

June 3, 2001: Bridal Shower and Girls night out!<--mstheme-->

  • May 26th, 2001:  Tamara's Aunt Denise's wedding in Modesto.  (it came as a complete surprise to us but we get another shot at a dry run to check up on our planning).

  • May 24th, 2001:  We finally were able, with a tremendous amount of begging and pleading and humbling ourselves, to find and book a replacement venue for the ceremony.  We will be holding the ceremony outdoors at the Capitol State Park Area 22 near the Fish Pond.  The location has lots of shade.  This location will make for tremendous photograph opportunities, and we are very excited that we could weasel our way into such a beautiful location with such little notice.

  • May 24th, 2001:  Tom's wedding ring arrived from Ireland.

  • May 24th, 2001:  Photographer deposit sent.

  • May 22, 2001:  Honeymoon booking's to Jamaica confirmed.  We wouldn't want to jinx anything, but everything seems to be going well on that front.  Tamara's Passport even arrived on schedule.  So far it looks like we will begin our honeymoon with a drive to LA.  Get on  a late night flight to Jamaica play in the sun at an all-inclusive resort for 7 days where all Tom has to do is plant a flag in the sand and our waiter will deliver our drinks. Then fly back to LA, and drive up the hills to Ridgecrest for the Hangar Party.  We got our Pineapple corer so the fruity umbrella drinks will be taken to a new level this year!  See you all there!

  • May 15, 2001: 5 days following our release of the invitations, Immaculate Conception church notified us that our priest wouldn't be returning from his retreat in time to complete the necessary tasks required to perform the ceremony.  Therefore, they cancelled our wedding and our use of the church.  OUCH!!!  That one stung a little.  I guess that qualifies as circumstances beyond our control.

  • May 13, 2001:  First RSVP returned thanks to the Russo's.

  • May 10, 2001: Invitations are finally out!!!

  • April 28, 2001: Tom's youngest sister Elisabeth's wedding.  See Tom's write up of how all that went.

  • April 18, 2001: Meeting with travel agent to plan honeymoon (Whoo whoo)  Start working on that tan!!

  • April 16, 2001: Initial deposits made to reception site and florist

  • April 2, 2001: With up-coming chaos pending, I spent a few days getting our Bridal Registry up to date. I managed to get Tom's participation through most of it... I eventually lost him in the whirlwind. Note: NEVER GIVE A BRIDE A SHOPPING GUN AND TELL HER TO GO HAVE FUN! Shopping without guilt is dangerous.

  • March 24, 2001: Confirmed the reception site and menu with the hotel.

  • March 17, 2001: Jr. Flower Girl Chaenney Kiirsten born to Jeff and Kari Puthuff (Matron of Honor)

  • March 6, 2001: Met with the florist today... All the flowers have been picked out. (Tamara gets excited now... yeah!!) Pinks, Burgundy and Whites

  • January 27, 2001: Bridal Party Road Trip to pick out the dresses. All members have confirmed, so clear the roads, here they come! (More details and pictures to follow)

  • December 31, 2000 : New Years Eve @ home.  Nice quiet evening for just the two of us.  We didn't have to drive anywhere for a holiday.  It was nice.

  • December 25, 2000 : Christmas At Tom's Folks.

  • December 23, 2000 : Christmas with Tamara's Family at J's place.

  • December 9, 2000: Christmas Party at Matteucci's. A lot of family, friends and fun. Side note: The new groom Jeff Puthuff was injured during a sporting event early that day and spent the night hobbling around on crutches. But by his words, the medicine was working and he felt NO PAIN!

  • November 23, 2000 : Thanksgiving at Tamara's Folks.  It shouldn't surprise anyone that the bird died!  So we ate it, Thankfully.

  • November 19th, 2000: Pre-Cana Conference.  Catholic requirement for couples getting married in a Catholic Church.  Mostly, it is a workshop to make sure you've talked about all the important stuff a couple should talk about before getting married, and a chance for couple to get some pre-marriage counseling.  It was about what we expected and the best part for Tamara was getting a priest to walk everyone through the Mass, explaining what all the different parts and prayers are about.  From what I hear, until you understand it, a Catholic Mass can look like a lot of mindless chanting, and random periods of standing, sitting and kneeling.  At least they explained a little about what is going on so she can understand it better.  I'm grateful that she attended with me.

  • November 3, 2000: Tom's Birthday... Tom got the "Toy Story 2" video from Tamara he was hoping for, and a few other things.  Tom had a nice birthday.

  • October 21st, 2000: Cordial Dinner.  The traditional sit down with both parents to "discuss things".  The event always has the potential for some excitement, but neither Tom, Tamara or Kathy were feeling well.  Tamara's headache showed up, Kathy had a sore tooth and the wind stirred up Tom's allergies.  As a result we didn't get a lot of wedding stuff worked out, it was mostly an idea tossing out session over a big dinner at Black Angus.

  • October 16th, 2000: We met with Father Enrique' of Immaculate Conception Church in Sacramento.  He notified us of what paper work we had to put together, the Pre-cana meeting we needed to attend, and allowed us to reserve the Church for 2:00pm June 23rd, 2001.  All required paper work should be retrievable, the meeting went very well.  As soon as we attend the required initial meeting and assemble the paper work we can meet again with the Father and confirm our date.  Wahoo!  Finally some good news on the Church.  This church requires that rehearsals be scheduled on the Thursday before the wedding at 6:00 pm.  This is a day earlier than most were probably expecting and may cause problems for our out of town guests.  Those that are participants in the wedding are needed to attend.  So please, let us make it up to you on Friday.  We will plan a day trip of something fun for anyone invited to the wedding, to attend.  More on that later.

  • October 15th, 2000: TNT attend Immaculate Conception Church for the first time to check it out.  It is a humble and traditional church doing it's best to serve it's community.  It's located 3 blocks from Tom's house, so if you've been to Tom's house you have an idea about the community.  It's very nice on the inside, with traditional Catholic decor.  Lots of Light color grained woods are used inside the church.  Tom's digital camera already has a tendency to turn dark areas this color so he is a bit concerned how the photo's will turn out.  It was plenty bright inside so maybe we wont have any trouble.
  • October 12, 2000: Finally a meeting with a Priest is scheduled for the 16th.  We hope to be announcing a date very soon. Stay Tuned!
  • October 11, 2000: The search for the  Church is re-opened as we are told we have to select a church closer to our house.
  • October 9, 10, 2000: The invitations are bought. We are printing our own, Tamara found a nice paper at Michael's.
  • October 7, 2000: Attend the Puthuff's Wedding.  Tamara was Maid of Honor.  It was good practice, knowing we would be getting married soon.
  • OCTOBER 1, 2000: Search for the church narrowed down to three.
  • SEPTEMBER 29, 2000: Tamara's Dress is found!!
Although it was an exhausting task... "THE DRESS" was found at Bridal Mart in Sacramento. The day was spent with mom and a lot of patience on her part. I knew what I had pictured in my mind..  and knew I was being a little difficult.
  • SEPTEMBER 22, 2000:  Tamara's Birthday.  Tom proposes after dinner.
