PLUMMER FAMILY SURVIVAL SECRETS

With the wedding up and coming, I thought I would share some secrets to surviving a weekend with the Plummer Family. As some of you know, THERE ARE 5 TOTAL KIDS (including Tom). If you take into consideration spouses, roommates (Mary is just like family) and the parents... it makes for a very intimidating moment when they all get together.

1. NEVER take anything said too seriously. First thing Tom taught me is 95% of what is said, is a joke. The other 5%, they just want to see if you will believe them.  (This rule definitely applies to Tom Sr. and Brian aka Bart Simpson) First time I met Brian, I had lost my voice and was not able to defend myself to the teasing, but I have the rest of our lives to find a way to get even. Tom Sr.: well... I don't want to ruin all his fun. Listener BEWARE!!
2. Board Games are not for the weak at heart. A family tradition during the holidays are board games.  Each year, the newest games on the shelf are tested by the masses and the Plummer's.  Many times the game is harmless, but alliances will not hold up in the end. Example: Survivor This was the game this Christmas. Although I can say I made it to the end  (I believe they didn't want to scare me away) with Kristin (Brian's wife) when it came down to the final vote ("win $1,000,000) I was voted against 9 to 1. Who did the 1 vote come from? Everything think Tom of course... NO!!!  Thank you Mary for your 1 vote.

THE RULES

(My aunt sent this to me... funny, although NOT totally accurate)

** The female always make the rules.
** The rules are subject to change at any time without prior notification.
** No male can possibly know all the rules.
** If the female suspects the male knows the rules she must immediately change some or all of the rules.
** The female is never wrong.
** If the female is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a direct result of something the male did or said wrong.
** The male must apologize immediately for causing said misunderstanding.
** The female may change her mind at any time.
** The male must never change his mind without the express written consent of the female.
** The female has every right to be angry or upset at any time.
** The male must remain calm at all times unless the female wants him to be angry and/or upset.
** The female must, under no circumstances, let the male know whether or not she wants him to be angry and/or upset.
** The male is expected to mind read at all times.
** The female is ready when she is ready.
** The male must be ready at all times.
** Any male who doesn't abide by the rules can't take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp
